On 4 October, the no. 1 Eurostars Projects of the past 3 years were presented with an innovation award during the Innovation Expo 2018 in Rotterdam. DEAM and its project partners have received this Innovation Award for the Eurostars Mariana project. This project is a European collaboration between businesses and knowledge institutions: Sintef and Ceetron from Norway, University of Cork and Smart Electronics Ltd from Ireland and TUDelft from the Netherlands.
The Mariana team is developing an advanced system for taking biopsy samples through the lungs from the deepest and most difficult to reach regions, at the exact location where an X-ray indicates abnormal activity.

Last week saw the six-monthly meeting of our MARIANA project at the University of Cork (Ireland). The Mariana project is a European collaboration where DEAM, together with companies and knowledge institutes from Norway, Ireland and the Netherlands, is developing a system for safe lung biopsies. This system can be used in preventive research into the early stages of lung cancer.
Subsidy from province of Drenthe at DEAM Products13 June 2018
Last Wednesday, June 13, DEAM received approval for the allocation of the Drenthe business scheme from deputy Henk Brink from the province of Drenthe and councillor Henk Kosters from the municipality of Noordenveld.
The scheme is intended to stimulate the creation of jobs and is implemented by SNN [and is intended]. DEAM is one of the first companies to be granted this subsidy.
EAES London30 May 2018
On 30 and 31 May, DEAM will be present at the international EAES congress. This congress enables physicians to get acquainted with the LaproFlex and LaproFix instruments. DEAM can be found in the Start-Up area of this congress.
