Terms of Service.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms cover your use of our website and the free browser-based file tools, as well as joining the waitlist and booking demos. They do not govern the purchase or use of the Deam add-in. For software access, including participation in the closed beta or in the private beta for macOS, the applicable contract terms will be provided to you separately before the respective agreement is made.
1. Scope
This website and the free browser tools are provided by Deam Software GmbH. You can find its contact details in the imprint. The contractual provisions of these terms apply only to the extent they have been validly agreed with you. Merely visiting the website does not constitute acceptance of additional contractual obligations. Separate agreements and mandatory statutory provisions remain unaffected.
2. The free tools
The file tools are provided free of charge. The files you select are processed locally in your browser. For this processing, the files are not uploaded to our servers.
Only use files you are entitled to process. Keep backup copies of your source files and check the results before using them further. Information on the processing of personal data when you visit the website can be found in our privacy policy.
For future uses that have not yet been agreed, we may develop the tool offering further or stop offering individual tools. Services already agreed and statutory rights remain unaffected.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the website or the tools for unlawful purposes or to infringe the rights of third parties. Unauthorised access to our technical systems, as well as attacks and automated requests that impair their security, stability or availability, are not permitted.
In the event of misuse, we may restrict or block access to the extent necessary to prevent the misuse. In doing so, we take the legitimate interests of the affected users into account.
4. Intellectual property
The rights to protected content, designs, software components and trademarks on this website belong to Deam Software GmbH or the respective entitled third parties.
You may use the website and the tools as intended and share links to publicly accessible pages. Any further use of protected content is permitted where it is allowed by law or by an applicable license. Otherwise, the consent of the respective rights holder is required. Open-source components are subject to their respective license terms.
Microsoft, Microsoft 365, Office, PowerPoint and Excel are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Deam is an independent product that works with Microsoft PowerPoint; it is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft. Rights to these and other third-party trademarks and names remain with their respective owners. These trademarks and names are mentioned on this website to describe compatibility, for identification and for product comparison.
5. Waitlist and demos
Joining the waitlist or booking a demo does not conclude a paid software subscription and creates no purchase obligation.
Being on the waitlist alone guarantees neither software access nor a specific activation date or a price reservation. Software access is agreed separately. The confirmation of a demo appointment refers to the booked call and is not a commitment to software access.
Prices shown on the website and announced product features may change until software access is agreed with you. Demo appointments already confirmed, individually agreed conditions and existing contracts remain unaffected.
6. Liability
Our liability is governed by the statutory provisions.
7. Changes to these terms
We may publish new versions of these terms for future agreements. For existing contractual relationships, the agreed version remains authoritative until a change is validly agreed or is made on a statutory basis. Publishing a new version does not by itself change existing agreements. The date of the last update refers to the version of the published text.
8. Governing law
To the extent these terms are contractually agreed, the law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you act as a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected to the extent they would apply without this choice of law.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, or if you have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from these terms is our registered office, to the extent permitted by law. We remain entitled to bring an action at your general place of jurisdiction. Otherwise, and in particular for consumers, the statutory provisions on jurisdiction apply.
These terms are available in German and English. This English version is provided for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
